Really interesting. So average human needs about 50 square meters of leaves to produce Oxygen for their needs? I am guessing, we are talking about flat leaf area, so probably less, than that, since plants tend to get leaves on several levels. However, when I am looking at photosynthesis schematics, plant will use water in amount of half the produced oxygen (and probably don't return it in any way). So we really need source of water for running whole Colony.
Anyway, it is good start. Station needs more, than 50 square meters per single human, just to keep producing oxygen. How much will be needed for producing food for one person?

If even a percentage of those same leaves that are producing oxygen are used to produce food (see the document on Food) we would produce an overabundance of food far exceeding what people could want to eat.
